Thoughtful albums, trails and creative projects designed to help visitors and residents connect more deeply with Edinburgh, while celebrating  local voices, hidden talent and a more meaningful way of exploring the city.

What is Edinburgh Albums

Edinburgh Albums CIC is a social enterprise creating thoughtful cultural keepsakes, self-guided experiences and storytelling projects inspired by Edinburgh and the people who shape it.

We collaborate with local artists, children, residents and multilingual voices to create experiences that feel personal, playful and rooted in real life rather than mass-produced tourism.

Alongside helping visitors connect more meaningfully with the city, the project also aims to support underrepresented creative talent and widen access to local heritage and storytelling.

Edinburgh Animal Trail

A playful and screen-light way for families to explore Edinburgh together through storytelling, observation and small moments of discovery.

•    Designed and illustrated by local children
•    Makes exploring the city easier and more enjoyable for adults too
•    Encourages curiosity and discovery for children

Architectural EdinburghComing Soon

A storytelling album exploring Edinburgh’s architecture through observation, context, and lived experience designed for adults who want to engage more deeply with the city without feeling overwhelmed.

Edinburgh isn’t a museum. It’s a living city.
Children walking to school past centuries-old buildings. Rain, routines, festivals, creative shopkeepers, parents, artists.
Edinburgh Albums reflects that by bringing together heritage, everyday life and local creativity into cultural keepsakes that feel personal, thoughtful, and rooted in place.

More than a souvenir

Edinburgh Albums was created to encourage a slower, more meaningful connection with the city for both visitors and residents.

Our projects are developed collaboratively with local contributors including children, multilingual residents, emerging creatives and community voices whose stories are often overlooked.

As a social enterprise, we are also working towards widening access to cultural experiences and creating future opportunities for underrepresented talent through creative collaborations, storytelling and heritage-led projects.
